Your mission

The Michelberger Hotel & Restaurant has been welcoming and serving Berliners and their guests since 2009.

Our team creates a wide range of experiences tailored to the needs and wishes of each occasion in a variety of hotel rooms, event spaces, and public areas. In our restaurant, café, and bar, we serve the best regional products sourced from a sustainable network of farmers, hunters, and suppliers we trust, as well as from our own Michelberger Hof, a food forest in the Spreewald/Brandenburg.

The Michelberger family also includes the ORA Restaurant, THEKE Bistro, MXPSM Distillery, PEOPLE Festivals, and beverage manufacturer Fountain of Youth.

We are now looking for support in the front office area!


As Front Office Manager (m/f/d), you will be responsible for all front office operations and will ensure that the reception is always organized with foresight and that your team is informed about daily hotel events. You will work closely with the rooms departments and ensure that daily operations run smoothly.

Together with your team, you will be the first point of contact for our guests. As a passionate host, you will not only look after our guests during their stay, but also answer any questions they may have before arrival and listen to their feedback after departure.
With your warm and cheerful personality, you will find it easy to remain friendly in stressful situations and keep track of everything. In your role as a role model, you will support your employees in their daily work and enjoy motivating and inspiring them.

Your tasks and responsibilities:
  • Team leadership and organization of the front office
  • Ensuring smooth operations at the FO
  • Operational shifts at the FO
  • Implementing standards with the team
  • Ensuring daily shift handover
  • Supporting groups & VIP arrivals
  • Professional complaint handling
  • Organizing and conducting employee training & front office meetings in cooperation with the Rooms Division Manager
  • Main contact person for the night shift team
  • Close cooperation with the reservations department

Your profile

  • Relevant experience as FO Manager or in a similar position with team leadership
  • Experience in the 4**** or 5***** star hotel industry
  • Strong understanding of IT programs and their application
  • (Hotel PMS Protel Air and ZenDesk ticketing program an advantage)
  • Fluent in German and English, third foreign language an advantage
  • Enjoys team leadership and teamwork
  • Conscientious organizational skills   
  • Professional and friendly manner when dealing with guests and colleagues
  • Ambitious and stress-resistant character
