Your mission

The Michelberger Hotel & Restaurant has been welcoming and serving Berliners and their guests since 2009.

Our team creates a wide range of experiences tailored to the needs and wishes of each occasion in a variety of hotel rooms, event spaces, and public areas. In our restaurant, café, and bar, we serve the best regional products sourced from a sustainable network of farmers, hunters, and suppliers we trust, as well as from our own Michelberger Hof, a food forest in the Spreewald/Brandenburg.

The Michelberger family also includes the ORA restaurant, THEKE bistro, MXPSM distillery, PEOPLE festivals, and beverage manufacturer Fountain of Youth.

We are looking for full-time support in our kitchen for our dinner team at Michelberger!

You always strive to produce high-quality dishes, both in terms of design and taste. You underline this with your knowledge of the origin of our food and the journey from farm to table.

Your areas of responsibility are:
  • Deputy sous chef
  • Help in the preparation and design of all food menus
  • Ensure you meet our quality standards and follow all instructions
  • Preciseness in all aspects of the kitchen operation are expected from you
  • Strictly follow all recipes and production procedures
  • Knowledge of high quality products, cooking practices and kitchen operations
  • Strong communication within the team and to managers
  • Participate on the job trainings and transform them into action
  • Comply with and enforce sanitation regulations, safety standards & cleaning schedules/procedures
  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with other departments
  • awareness of Emergency Procedures
  • Ensure your shift and work section is operating perfect and well organized and prepared

  • HACCP
    • Follow all HACCP instructions according your operational guide
    • Ensuring safe food
    • Fulfillment of legal & external requirements
    • Saving on quality costs and improving the reduction of losses

Your profile

  • Professional and ambitious character 
  • A keen interest in local produce and organic food
  • Previous experience with an international kitchen team
  • The ability to cope under pressure and communicate in an effective manner under stress

About us

The Michelberger Hotel & Restaurant is a metropolitan oasis of recreation, togetherness and pleasure in the heart of Berlin. Founded and directed by Nadine and Tom Michelberger. The Michelberger includes a regenerative farm in the Spreewald, the ORA restaurant, the Theke Imbiss, the MXPSM spirits manufactory, the PEOPLE Festival and the Fountain of Youth coconut water.

Since 15 years, the Michelberger is a vibrant human centered place serving and hosting people, a social space for the multitude of work and leisure travel occasions. Grown out of Berlin's cultural landscape, the Michelberger is constantly evolving with the people and stories that this hotel life writes.
